The house

As we are going to stay for 30 days in SF, we decided to rent an apartment instead of being in a hotel.  It’s cheaper and more personal. It will be the first time I’ll stay for so long in the same city. We rented a place very well located, so I can go walking to the school. The building is good, but a little bit old fashioned.  So as the apt.  But it’s clean, quiet and cozy.  We had some troubles, because it is the first time for this host, and he hasn’t had any experience with this. So, there weren’t  forks, knives, spoons, or any other kitchenware for example. The pots aren’t ok, so we had to buy these things.  But, as we are very close to Chinatown, we went there and bought all of this, for a really good price.

One thing I like is the fact that you can drink the water from the faucet.  It simplifies life!

The apt is between Chinatown and downtown. Two blocks upstairs, Chinatown. Two block downstairs, Downtown. But in the middle, there’s a huge hill which is making so tired.  But, although some domestic troubles, I’m very happy to be here. I’m very grateful with this opportunity and I remember this every single day.  

A casa

Como  ficaremos aqui em San Francisco por 30, eu e André decidimos alugar um apartamento em vez de ficar  em um hotel. É mais barato e mais pessoal. Será a primeira vez que eu ficarei por tanto tempo na mesma cidade. Alugamos um lugar muito bem localizado, para que eu possa ir a pé para a escola.

O prédio é bom, mas um pouco antiquado. Assim como o apt. Mas é limpo, tranquilo e acolhedor. Tivemos alguns problemas, porque é a primeira vez para este host, e ele não teve nenhuma experiência com isso. Assim, não havia  garfos, facas, colheres, ou qualquer outro  utensílio de cozinha. As panelas  não estão ok, então tivemos que comprar essas coisas. Mas, como estamos muito perto de Chinatown, fomos lá e compramos tudo isso, por um preço muito bom.

Uma coisa que eu gosto é o fato de que você pode beber a água da torneira. Isto simplifica a vida!

O apt é entre Chinatown e o centro. Dois blocos acima, Chinatown. Dois blocos  abaixo, Downtown. Mas, no meio, há uma enorme ladeira/colina que está me matando. Mas, apesar destes pequenos problemas domésticos, estou muito feliz por estar aqui. Estou muito grata por esta oportunidade e  me lembro disso todos os dias.
